Golden Peak Vacation Rentals

Golden Peak is Vail’s easternmost base area, about five minutes’ walk from Vail Village. It is where the ski school’s children’s programs meet, where the terrain park starts, and where most of our ski-in/ski-out rentals are. If slopeside matters to you, this is the address.

Ski-In/Ski-Out, for Real

The rentals we manage at Golden Peak sit on the slopes: skis go on at the door and you ski back to it at the end of the day. The Riva Bahn Express takes you from the base up the Front Side, including Riva Ridge, and from there the whole mountain opens up.

Why Families Pick It

Ski school drop-off is the part of a Vail morning nobody warns you about — small children, boots, helmets and skis moved across town before class. Stay at Golden Peak and you walk out of the door to the meeting point. Teenagers get the terrain park on the same slope.

Room for Big Groups

Golden Peak has the largest rentals we manage, from family condos to chalets that sleep ten or more, many with a private hot tub. It is also the most expensive base area in Vail, because you are paying for a front door on the snow.

Beyond the Ski Season

In summer Golden Peak is a quiet, green corner of town. Ford Park, the Betty Ford Alpine Gardens and the Gerald R. Ford Amphitheater — home of Bravo! Vail and summer concerts — are close by, and the restaurants of Vail Village are five minutes on foot.
