West Vail is the everyday side of town, west of Lionshead along I-70. It is where many locals live and shop, with Vail’s two big supermarkets, a gas station and a handful of casual restaurants. Rentals are mostly houses and townhomes, many with a garage and mountain views.

Getting to the Lifts
The free Town of Vail bus runs through West Vail to Lionshead and Vail Village year-round, and most guests are on the mountain in 10 to 15 minutes without driving. The Cascade Village lift, on the western edge of Vail Mountain, is the closest lift.
